KEY PL AYERS JANUARY 2017 | DATA-DRIVEN OIL FIELDS | EPMAG.COM 14 water management, downtime capture, route optimization and ticket management. Quorum's production management technology helps us- ers streamline and analyze fi eld operations through centralized cloud-based software that monitors and displays integrated data. Production management dashboards and analytics deliver views of an operator's entire fi eld operations. Quorum's fi eld data capture technology retrieves fi eld data via tablet or mobile device and uploads that information in real time for operators to view. With real-time automation and SCADA monitoring services, users also can assess production data anytime, anywhere on the web- and cloud-based platform. Rockwell Automation Integrating information, process control, motor control, and safety technologies and solutions, Rockwell Automation aims to help oil and gas producers optimize production and reduce operation costs and downtime. Leveraging the industrial Inter- net of Things, the company is bringing its vision of "The Con- nected Enterprise" to the oil and gas industry, transforming all segments of the petroleum supply chain. By turning real-time data into actionable information, oil and gas producers can make more informed business decisions to maximize uptime and improve profi tability. Onshore, the company offers products for the control and monitoring of production facilities. These include integrated control and safety systems, remote terminal units, fl ow measure- ment, artifi cial lift controllers, supervisory software and more, covering the drilling rig to wellhead, processing and treating facilities, water treatment, storage, injection and delivery to transportation systems. Offshore, subsea control technologies from Rockwell Auto- mation can be used for packaged subsea control systems and safety systems including emergency shutdown, process shutdown and BOP, high-integrity pressure protection systems as well as pump, compressor and turbomachinery control. The company also integrates control and safety systems with monitoring for subsea, marine and topside operations onboard FPSO vessels. The company offers a 24/7 global network of local resources for technical support. Standard designs improve the ability for rapid support and minimize the amount of operational and service training required by personnel, the company said. Schlumberger Schlumberger provides technology for reservoir characterization, drilling, production and processing to the oil and gas industry. The company supplies a comprehensive range of products and services from exploration through production and integrated pore-to-pipeline solutions that optimize hydrocarbon recovery to deliver reservoir performance. The company's geophysics software for seismic and non- seismic interpretation includes structural and stratigraphic interpretation; seismic attributes computation and extraction; well and seismic calibration; velocity modeling and time/depth conversion; quantitative interpretation; and seismic processing and depth imaging. Schlumberger released its GeoTesting geology-based well test design and interpretation services in September 2016. GeoTesting services maximize the value of well tests by integrat- ing geological and geophysical models with dynamic well test data in a shared earth model (Figure 1), a press release stated. In 2016 the company also released the industry's fi rst micro- fl uidic analysis technology. Schlumberger's Maze microfl uidic saturates, aromatics, resins and asphaltenes (SARA) analysis for reservoir fl uids characterization fully automates the process for testing oil samples for SARA (Figure 2). "This method eliminates human subjectivity enabling precise SARA measurements, while decreasing turnaround time and use of chemicals by more than 85%," a press release stated. "Combining unique microfl uidic chip technology and spectroscopy, Maze microfl u- idic SARA analysis delivers precise fl uid measurements that are always repeatable and reproducible." The company's Techlog well- bore software platform brings wellbore-centric, cross-domain workfl ows to different disciplines, including petrophysics, geology, geo- physics, drilling, and reservoir and production engineering.
