NOV released its newest product, the Her- cules ERR (electric rod rotator), in frst-quarter 2016, The ERR is actu- ated using an electric motor coupled to a control system or standalone con- trol box. By using an electric motor, the user no longer needs to install a traditional mechanical arm and cable. The new rotation sensor, coupled with the control box, monitors per- formance and alerts operators when failures occur. Novomet Headquartered in Russia, Novomet has been manufacturing electric sub- mersible pump systems (ESPs) since 2002. The company's technology includes slimline ESPs capable of ft- ting inside of 4-in. casing, PowerSave systems reducing power consumption by up to 50% and solutions for wells with high gas-oil ratios, scale, solids and H 2 S. The company's complete ESP offer- ings include downhole equipment, surface equipment as well as scale pre- venters and flters. Released this year, Novomet now offers a rigless cable-de- ployed, 2.17-in. outer diameter ESP system designed to ft inside of 2 5 ⁄ 8 -in. tubing. This ESP system was designed to reduce operation costs for oil and water production.
